I thought of celebrating 25 years with 25 words. But brevity is not my strong suit. So maybe 25 lines will enable me to say some things …
He squeezes the toothpaste in the middle.
My piles of magazines take over the house.
He puts the newspaper away before I’ve finished it.
I forget to turn off the stovetop.
He loves to tidy my very organised mess.
I talk when he’s trying to read.
He snores (I have evidence).
I snore (no evidence exists).
I cook him delicious meals and rarely force him to eat pasta.
He brings me breakfast in bed when I’m sick.
I’ll go with him to see action movies (within reason).
He’ll go to a chick flick with me without complaint (well not much complaint).
I’m good to his family.
He’s good to my family.
I bear with him even though the deck isn’t finished.
He bears with me when I’m not being very nice.
I introduced him to the world.
He takes me there.
I travel economy class for him.
He allows me to travel business class sometimes.
He’s still with me, children or no.
