I’ve already written about procrastination, but this time I can only blame myself. Sadly procrastination is a theme that is always relevant in my life.
Today I sat down at the computer to look through my photos from my trip. I got myself some water, determined not to get dehydrated as I had been doing prior to Christmas. I opened the skylight as it’s getting a little hot in here. I turned on my computer, and opened GIMP, my photo editing programme. Then while I waited for that to open I checked my email, and opened Firefox. My homepage is Stuff, a New Zealand news site, and I checked out a few news items there, before being lured over to Facebook to see if there were any funny/interesting things going on there. Moved on to my blog lists, and that’s where I really got stuck. Got distracted with blogs, then with blogging myself, then with catching up on comments over the last few weeks, then trying to comment on Deloney’s blog and being thrown out and deciding to go back again later, then realised I should really check out another work-related site I have to visit each day, a bit embarrassed that it was now mid-afternoon and I had yet to check it. Then I looked at the time on the computer, and realised it was over an hour and a half since I first sat down, and that I had yet to get to my photos.
So naturally I blogged this.
