There are (apparently at last count) 176 million blogs in the world. The average number of readers per blog is 4. This makes me feel pretty damn good about A Separate Life! And my infertility blog is better than I expected within its niche too.
I confess though that I am a bit worried about my Travelalphablog. I don’t know if people read it and just don’t comment, or if only my two faithful commenters read it. Trying to be reasonable, I’ve just guest-posted on a new friend’s blog, and she has noted that despite only a few comments, several hundred readers have visited since my post went up. I don’t question her stats. So maybe I shouldn’t assume that the visitors to Travelalphablog are regular rather than accidental. (I apologise for sounding pathetic, but I’m forever grateful to Helen and IB for their comments.) So I am wondering if it should be retired gracefully. Or if it could be transformed into something else. Because I do enjoy recording my travels.
Anyway, enough of a digression, and back to the fact that I feel very grateful that my blog here exceeds the average number of readers. And the point of this is to say Thanks.
Thanks Readers. I love you.
Now go read I is for Istanbul!
