On Sunday afternoons, if not before, I start thinking about what I will write in my #MicroblogMondays post. So not long ago I began writing about my weekend, but even though I only wrote one sentence, that post as it is now doesn’t qualify as a microblog.
This reminded me that the lovely Indigo Bunting – the master of the single sentence post (though I keep trying to emulate her skill and insight) – has begun an occasional series (that I do hope she continues) of MondayforMali posts, using the #MicroblogMondays formula. Oh how I love Indigo Bunting for doing this, she who simply by her comments on my posts has made my real-life-non-blogging friend Peony really really want to meet her!
Peony and I were chatting about our dream of travelling to New York together someday (ditching the husbands who can do something else, we care not what). If we do, I know my friend Cee from AFS days in Thailand but now of DC will visit us there, and so we wondered, perhaps Indigo Bunting would too! Or we could travel to Vermont – October would be the perfect time to go. Ahh, the champagne-induced fantasies of the inebriated. Or maybe not?
(And if you’re going to click on only one link in this post, click on this.)
Love!

You must come to Vermont. But know that I might also try to get to New York!

Sometimes the most wonderful adventures start from moments like this. Believe the champagne, it might be telling you something amazing!

Vermont in the fall is perfect! I recommend the last week of September/first week of October for best leaf viewing. It is spectacular!

Or you could come a little further north to Ontario, which is also spectacular in October. 😉

I’ve always thought of IB as the perfect New England dweller. But funny thing, even though she and I are quite different in ways, I’ve always felt as though I belong there too. I suspect that makes more sense than might appear on the surface.
